I love hearing Kira laugh! She is easily amused and so happy!  I'm so blessed!  Thank you God for such an awesome gift!

Kira opening a present from Auntie Lynn with a little help from "big sister" Alyson.

Our first Christmas together!  The whole family is enjoying having Kira with us this Christmas.  Kira has been a good sport about wearing fancy dresses and headbands, going from place to place this season.  However, she did not like the white haired guy in the red suit.  He doesn't seem too comfortable either with a screaming baby!

Kira's 1st birthday!  After last week's big celebration, we kept today's celebration small.  A family dinner at Macaroni Grill.

Kira's 1st Birthday Party

We celebrated Kira's first birthday a week early at the La Palma Community Center.  We were blessed to have so many friends and family there to celebrate with us, and it was a wonderful opportunity to thank those who faithfully prayed for Kira throughout the years.

Thanks to all who made the day a success, especially my aunt and sister-in-law, Tina for all their hard work.  Kira was able to take some steps, though she's still mostly crawling.  Unfortunately, Kira was sick and went through 3 outfits in the first half hour!  By the time pictures were being taken, Kira was in the emergency outfit that I keep in her diaper bag.  Not the cute outfit I had picked out for the memorable occasion, but at least she acted like she felt fine and seemed to enjoy the cake, especially the frosting!  Thanks to all the friends who took pictures and shared them with me.  I was so busy, I forgot to get out my camera!

Thanksgiving

This year, I am thankful for many things.  A good job, wonderful friends, loving family, God's grace, and a beautiful, sweet daughter.  Each Thanksgiving for the last 5 years, there's been something missing, and I hoped, maybe next year.  Well, this was the year that we finally had Kira with us for Thanksgiving.  She enjoyed all the attention and was the star of the day (sorry turkey!)  She ate turkey, yams, green beans, mashed potatoes, and even had some pumpkin pie for dessert (just the filling, no crust.) Everything we put in front of her disappeared.  My girl can eat!  I was so busy enjoying the moment, I forgot to take pictures at the meal, but here's her Thanksgiving outfit!

Halloween

Kira had a good Halloween.  She started out in her First Halloween outfit that her Aunt Aeecha gave her, and then she changed into her ladybug costume.  She looked adorable with her chubby cheeks and her little Monkeybug (a stuffed monkey in a ladybug costume from her Aunt Tina)!  Our good friends, the Stovers, invited us to go trick-or-treating with them, and Auntie Svet was there too!  It was an exciting night, and by the end of it, Kira was exhausted.
Whaz up?

Just crawlin' around

I love Monkeybug!

Wiped out!
Actually, she's an angel most of the time!
